The Vegetarian Society’s Quick Lesson Ideas, with accompanying
Quick Vegetarian Facts, offer teachers a variety of ideas and background
information for studying vegetarianism across the curriculum. Each
idea is quick to prepare and can be expanded and built upon to suit
the needs of individual classes.

This has been especially written for students studying Food Technology. It covers
a range of important areas including nutrition, menu planning, designing and
packaging of vegetarian foods, alternative sources of protein, basic facts about
vegetarianism, and useful addresses for further research. This booklet is available online or
as a hard copy free from The Vegetarian Society.
Healthy Eating for Vegetarians - a concise booklet on nutrition, endorsed by Dr Mark Porter. The booklet uses “The Balance of Good Health”, as it applies to a vegetarian diet.

Posters
The Vegetarian Society currently has two posters, both of which illustrate information on healthy eating. The first is The Balance of Good health, the second is a Food Comparisons Poster (pictured left). Both can be used as a teaching aid or just to brighten up your classroom/youth group wall.
