Vegsoc stall

There are lots of reasons why people go veggie. For many it is an issue of animal rights; for others it is about the environment and sustainability; some go veggie to improve their health, or they don’t like the taste of animal flesh. The Vegetarian Society campaigns on behalf of all vegetarians, regardless of why they went veggie in the first place.

95% of the population in the United Kingdom is not vegetarian and, despite the fact that vegetarianism has been around for thousands of years, many people still do not understand what it means to be a vegetarian. The more we can get the word out about vegetarianism and dispel some of those crazy myths that exist about us, the better life will be for all of us!

There are lots of ways to get the message across about vegetarianism. However you decide to do it, do not be tempted to break the law or do any stunt which may lead to an accident. This will only serve to convince the general public that vegetarians are somewhat odd or anti-social.
